Upcoming Project

Hello everyone,

I am delighted to share some exciting news about my upcoming project! As many of you may know, I have been singing since I was a little girl in the mountains of North Carolina, where I was born and raised. After completing my bachelor's degree, I moved to the Colorado Mountains, where I received a calling from God to write songs. Over the past twenty years, I have been working on songs, and I am excited to announce that some of them will be shared with the world.

My goal is to follow God's calling and keep my focus on Jesus. I trust Him and His promise that if I abide in Him, He will abide in me, and I will bear much fruit.

This project is an EP release in the summer of 2024, followed by an album in the winter of 2024-25. The upcoming project will feature 14 new songs with the sounds of Appalachian folk, gospel, blues, soul, and country - the sound I grew up with in the mountains of North Carolina. I have been a classical singer and worship leader in church for the last twenty years, so that will also shape some of this new sound.

From May 2 to 6, I will be in Eastbourne, UK, with Trevor Michael, who will head up the production, mixing, and engineering of this project. He will also help me assemble a team of session musicians, and I am grateful for him. I'm excited to have the dates set for recording these 14 songs.

These songs are a tremendous gift from God to me, and I believe that giving them back to God and back to the body of Christ by faith (to Royal Increase) will lead to a harvest. I want to invest in them, put some extra work into them, and watch them grow. Instead of holding them down so tightly that they never bear the fruit that God intended, I want to see them flourish.

When it comes to the album, I have always dreamed of releasing music that's more like a family portrait than a solo artist. That's why Willo and I started Royal Increase Music together with other brothers and sisters in Christ four years ago. (Royal Increase means - Expansion of the Kingdom - Isaiah 9:6) We have already released our first song, "The Call." I hope you've listened to it, but if you haven't yet, check it out if you're feeling inspired!

Royal Increase also has a School of Worship Outreach, and by discipling creatives, we learn a lot! We are pioneering how we can be obedient to Jesus' Great Commission through this album. As Jesus said in Matthew 28, "Go and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them all that I have taught you." That's such a big job, and that's what I hope this album will contribute to. I hope to release some Biblical Devotionals to go along with each issue, but one project at a time. 14 songs, 14 Reflections with a Discipleship Journal to help you connect with God.
